Wide Angle lens for his Video Camera
The camera is a Sony DCR-TRV340E and has a 37mm thread for filters and lenses. A
wide angle lens means more of Darryn's world
goes onto DVD. A Sony lens is pictured to the right, but any good brand will
work fine. A UV filter wouldn't hurt either.

Long Lasting battery for his Video Camera
The camera takes InfoLithium 'M' type batteries. A large (but not massive)
capacity battery would help Darryn capture
more of his journeys for the folks back home.

Tapes for his Video Camera
When Darryn is roughing it, busily
travelling, he sometimes doesn't have time to upload the day's footage to the
computer. The 5 pack of Digital8 tapes should ensure that
nothing gets sacrificed.

A quality webcam to fit a notebook computer - USB or USB2
Darryn wants to keep in touch with his family, friends, and well-wishers. What
better way to immediately satiate this desire than by a video chat. Darryn will
need a webcam for this, and as he has a notebook computer, will need a special
kind. Notebook computers have a thin screen and normal webcams don't fit. A

Lonely Planet or Rough Guide for Malaysia/Singapore
Before committing to the icy wastelands of Europe, Darryn will be saying a last
farewell to the sun with two weeks in Malaysia. This tropical paradise is
filled with wonders and dangers, but Darryn is ignorant of them all because he
has no guidebooks. Help him to survive. The Rough Guide can be purchased

Darryn likes to chat. He likes to listen to music and play games. A headset lets
him do this without disturbing the people around him (as much). A fine example

Waratahs Jersey (Full Sleeved)
Europe is a world of strange and sinister sports, and Darryn must educate the
people as to the One True Football. How better than to wear with pride the
jersey of the greatest Super12 team that ever existed, from Darryn's home
state, the NSW Waratahs. Tradition and the European temperature require long
sleeves. Darryn's chest measures 105cm (42") and he prefers a loose fit. A
jersey similar to that sought can be seen
here, but surveys show that Darryn prefers the model illustrated to the
left.

Large jar of Vegemite
Australians are the strongest people in the world, and are immune to the bites
of dropbears. For this, we owe Vegemite, the King Of Foods. For Darryn to
remain healthy in his old age he will need regular doses of this miracle
elixir, which is not readily available outside of civilisation.
